1. What FOOZ Uses Today
This site sets no analytics, advertising, profiling or social-media cookies, and loads no third-party trackers.
The only browser storage in use is what the site needs to function and stay secure — for example, a short-lived token that prevents forged form submissions, and a session cookie on the admin page. These are what the ePrivacy Directive calls strictly necessary, and the law does not require consent for them.
That is why you are not seeing a cookie banner. It is not an oversight; there is nothing here to consent to.
3. What Will Change at Launch
When FOOZ launches we expect to add product analytics so we can see which features creators actually use, and possibly advertising measurement.
Those are not strictly necessary, so they will require your consent. When that happens we will show a consent banner that meets current regulatory expectations:
- A “Reject all” button on the first layer, equally prominent and reachable in the same number of clicks as “Accept all” — no hiding it behind a settings panel, no greying it out.
- No non-essential cookie set before you have made a choice. Silence is not consent, and continuing to scroll is not consent.
- Granular control by purpose, and withdrawal made as easy as giving consent.
- This page updated with the full table of what each technology does, before it goes live.
